Italy, which has ranked first of Taiwan's stainless steel exporter for three consecutive years, reduced its import volume by more than half year on year in the first quarter.

According to customs statistics, stainless steel exports from Taiwan to Italy fell to 1,347 tons in March, ranking 21st, but the total volume remained on the 5th in the first quarter.

In the first three months of this year, Taiwan's stainless steel exports to Italy totaled only 15,620 tons, plummeting by 53.2% compared to the same period a year ago.
