Outokumpu, the largest stainless steel manufacturer in Europe, said the epidemic outbreak of novel coronavirus hasn’t affected its business operation, and the current order volume was even stronger than before, which might be due to cautious customers not to order from foreign countries, and the business in the Americas continued growing.

In 2019, Outokumpu delivered nearly 2.2 million tons of stainless steel through its business operations in Europe, the US and Mexico. The delivery volume was kept stable currently. However, the demand for stainless steel was still expected to be impacted by the current economic uncertainty at a certain stage in the future.
