The Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China (MOFCOM) had announced to levy the anti-dumping duty tariff on imported stainless steel billets and stainless steel hot-rolled plates from the EU, Japan, South Korea and Indonesia started from July 23rd, 2019.
Taiyuan Iron & Steel (Group) Co., Ltd. (TISCO), one of the major Chinese stainless steelmakers, said that in recent years, lots of countries exported stainless steel billets or products to China by dumping way, which did hurt the Chinese steel industry.
MOFCOM mentioned that the final ruling on the stainless steel billet and stainless steel hot-rolled plates not only provided Chinese steel mills a fair market but also benefited the development of a high-quality stainless steel market.
