Taiwanese Yusco greatly hikes stainless steel prices for Aug

Yieh United Steel Corp. (Yusco), the largest integrated stainless steel mill in Southeast Asia, announced its stainless steel prices for August today (July 29th).
According to the price adjustment, the domestic price for 304 hot-rolled and cold-rolled stainless steel products was greatly hiked by NT$4,500/ton, while that for 430 series was kept unchanged. The surcharge for 316 was raised by NT$1,000/ton.
In addition, Yusco also hiked its export prices, in a range of US$160-180/ton. The surcharge for exported 316 products was also increased by US$30/ton.
Yusco stated that its adjustment was to reflect the high costs of overall production.
