Taiwanese stainless steel wire rod imports down, exports up in May m-o-m

According to the statistics from Taiwan Customs, Taiwan imported a total of around 1,400 tons of stainless steel wire rod in May, dropping by 33% compared to the previous month. Among them, the imports from Japan accounted for the largest proportion, totaling around 760 tons, but the figure was down by 38% month on month.
As for exports, Taiwan exported around 10,600 tons of stainless steel wire rod in May, slightly up from last month’s 10,400 tons. Among them, South Korea was the main destination during the period, with a total of around 2,270 tons, a month-on-month hike of 8%. Thailand ranked second with around 2,240 tons, a month-on-month increase of 23%.
