Stainless steel output in China to be cut by 50,000 tons in Jun due to maintenance in weak market

It was reported that the maintenance across China's stainless steel plants in June would cut output of 200 series by around 50,000 tons, but it seemed the 300 series will face very limited impact.

Earlier this week a major stainless steel producer in Guangxi, China began its annual maintenance as its revenues fell below costs in the weakening market.

Last week, demand for stainless steel didn't improve since stainless steel producers cut prices which drove inventories to a record high across mills.
