Yieh United Steel Corp. (Yusco), a leading stainless steel mill in Taiwan, announced that the company’s revenue was NT$2.996 billion in July, falling by 8.3% compared to the previous month and by 26.2% from the year-ago level. The cumulative revenue in the first seven months of this year was NT$27.38 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 22.44%.

Tang Eng Iron Works Co., Ltd., another major stainless steel mill in Taiwan, posted its revenue of NT$823 million in July, up 6.67% month on month and by 13.1% year on year. The total revenue in the January-July period was NT$6.86 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 19.32%.

Affected by the overall weak stainless steel market, both Yusco and Tang Eng’s revenue in the first seven months was in a downward trend compared to the same period a year earlier.
