Taiwan’s Yusco and Tang Eng announced their new stainless steel prices. Due to the sharp rise of nickel on the LME, both companies yesterday announced that they will be raising prices for May. Domestic prices were increased by NT$9, 000/ton while the export price was raised by between US$250 and 300/ton. The big price adjustment in the quotation price is in a bid to cover the high cost of nickel. (Apr. 26)
