According to a data released by the World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS), copper was in a surplus of 377,000 tons during January to September.

Copper market recorded a surplus of 298,000 tons in 2014.

Global consumption of copper totaled 16.682 million tons in the first nine month of 2015 and the figure in the same time of 2014 was 16.827 million tons.

Global output of refined copper totaled 1.94 million tons during January to September and the consumption totaled 1.862 million tons.
