Ton Dong A, a coated steel manufacturer in Vietnam, has ordered a new cold rolling mill with a process capacity of 400,000 tons per year from the Italian equipment supplier Danieli for its low carbon, hot-rolled strip production at Phu My complex in southern Vietnam. This new facility will increase Ton Dong A's cold-strip production to 1.2 million tons per year.

The twin-stand, reversing cold-strip mill, equipped with Danieli Automation, promises high productivity, excellent flatness, and high material yield. Production of construction grades and home appliance materials is expected to commence by late 2026.

This new facility is the third Danieli cold-strip mill for Ton Dong A, which already operates two successful Danieli cold-rolling mills and two hot-dip galvanizing lines for over a decade.
