Brazil iron ore producer Vale planned to expand its Serra Leste mine iron ore capacity in Curionópolis city, after received approval from state environmental protection agency.

According to the State environmental protection agency Semas, Vale is now able to expand its capacity from 2 million tons of iron ore per year to 6 million tons/year.
Meanwhile, Serra Leste mine produces good quality of iron ore, because of its high iron content.
