The US Department of Commerce (USDOC) recently announced its preliminary results of countervailing duty (CVD) administrative review on cold-rolled steel flat products from South Korea.

During the period of review from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019, certain South Korean cold-rolled steel plate producers and exporters received countervailable subsidies. However, Hyundai Steel and POSCO received de minimis net countervailable subsidies during this period.

Therefore, the USDOC would impose CVD duties on Hyundai Steel, POSCO, and Dongbu Steel with a subsidy rate of 0.46%, 0.32%, and 9.18%, respectively, and the other 45 con-selected companies will be levied 0.55%.
