Before that, the market was just shocked by the Evergrande situation, which might threaten the global financial market seriously, causing the market to sell risk assets, including crude oil and the stock market.

On September 21st, the crude oil futures closing price for October and November in the West Texas Intermediate were US$70.56/barrel and US$70.49/barrel, respectively, both increased by around 0.5% compared to the previous trading day.
