United States aluminum industry branch in Guinea, Guinea bauxite company pointed out that the company has a number of financial institutions and investors to raise US$1 billion in financing, will invest to reconstruction and expansion of the Guinean bauxite mining projects.

According to Alcoa's plans, renovation and expansion projects are divided into two phases, the first phase completed in 2018, mining of bauxite ore per year capacity will increase from the current 14.5 million tons to 18.5 million tons, second phase completed in 2027, production increased to 28.5 million tons.
