In line with lightweight trend of automotive industry and quality improved, Hyundai Steel was committed to developing leading steel materials, for future market demand.

Since this September, its Ulsan plant has started to build new production facility for automobiles. The factory could produce cold-rolled and pickling pipes with outer diameter of 19.1-65.0mm, wall thickness of 1.0-4.5mm, and available length of below 9meter, high-purity surface steel pipe.

In particular, welding automation for ERW pipes and extremely thin pipe frame technology will meet lightweight needs of future automotive.

Next year, the plant's capacity will reach 20,000 tons, and the first batch of products have been supplied one after another. Relevant quality, clarity and precision were all well received.
