Ukrainian industrial company Interpipe announced a US$120 million investment program to modernize its railway product manufacturing facilities by 2032. Key projects include building a new heat treatment line, expanding wheel and axle finishing capacities, and upgrading production workshop infrastructure. The initiative aims to boost Interpipe’s export potential and develop high-tech manufacturing.
Vitaliy Sueta, Director of Products and Resources, stated that the company’s long-term strategy focuses on increasing its market share in passenger wheels. Environmental improvements are also central to the program, with each project designed to reduce CO2 emissions and enhance energy efficiency.
Interpipe also plans to strengthen cooperation with national railway operators in Europe, such as Renfe (Spain), SNCF (France), and Trenitalia (Italy), and aims to complete certification with major rolling stock companies, including Siemens, Alstom, and Stadler.
