According to the Turkish latest statistics, Turkish iron ore imports from Australia soared in March, but the total imports were down by 6.2% compared with the same period of last year.

The data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) showed that the Turkish iron ore imports totaled around 1.1 million tons in March. Among them, Brazil ranked first with the largest Turkish iron ore imports of around 280,000 tons; followed by Australia with around 277,000 tons; followed by Canada with around 168,000 tons.

Among these imports, Turkish iron ore imports from Ukraine totaled 32,000 tons in March, down by 57.9% compared with the same period of last year; those from Russia were down to around 26,000 tons.
