It’s reported that Japanese Tokyo Steel announced to decrease the scrap purchase prices by ￥500~￥1,000/ton averagely at its five firms from October 6th.

The company decided to cut the scrap purchase prices at Kyushu and Utsunomiya plants by ￥1,000/ton and to decrease the prices by ￥500/ton at the other three works.

After the adjustment, the latest purchase prices of the H2 scrap are at ￥33,000~￥35,500/ton averagely.

Among them, the H2 scrap purchase prices in Okayama plant are at ￥35,000/ton; that in Kyushu plant is at ￥35,500/ton; that in Tahara plant is at ￥34,000/ton; that in Takamatsu plant is at ￥33,000/ton and that in Utsunomiya plant is at ￥35,000/ton.
