The Latin American steelmaker Ternium will invest US$28.5 million at its plant in Puebla, for a Smoke and Dust Aspiration system that could help the company produce steel with guaranteed quality in a sustainable way.

César Jiménez, executive president of Ternium in Mexico, clarified that the investment was not to increase the production of the plant but rather to protect the environment, making processes more efficient and improve the life quality of the community.

Ternium is a steel company highly integrated in its value chain. Its activities range from the extraction of iron ore in its own mines and the manufacture of steel, to the elaboration of finished products of high added value and its distribution throughout Latin America.
