According to customs statistics, Taiwan’s imports of steel billet, including carbon steel and alloy steel, reached around 214,000 tons in March, rising by 9% compared to the previous month.

Russia remained the top supplier of carbon steel billets, exporting 119,00 tons to Taiwan. Japan followed with 38,000 tons, Vietnam with 12,600 tons, and Indonesia with 6,100 tons. Total carbon steel billet imports amounted to approximately 180,000 tons.

Alloy steel billet imports in March totaled 34,000 tons. Vietnam ranked first with 28,400 tons, followed by China’s 5,300 tons.

In terms of exports, no carbon steel billets were exported in March, while alloy steel billet exports were only 2 tons.
