Due to the severer COVID-19 epidemic in Europe, Germany, France, and even the UK have successively announced their second national lockdown. The UK announced to lock the country again to prevent virus spread starting from November 5 for a period of 4 weeks until December 2.

Germany, France, and the UK are three major export destinations of Taiwan’s screw exports. Due to the national lockdown, the future screw exports to the European countries had a high possibility to drop this year since the screw export volume to this region in the first three quarters has already dropped by 17%.
