China Steel Corporation (CSC) and Dragon Steel Corporation (DSC) reported a combined shipment of 778,000 tons in June, significantly lower than their 852,000-ton target by 74,000 tons. This decline was mainly due to the increased US steel and aluminum tariffs, which have restricted downstream export demand and made buyers hesitant.

The group’s domestic sales, at 462,000 tons, were 19,000 tons lower than their goal as clients grappled with tariff cost-sharing. Export shipments, totaling 316,000 tons, were down by 55,000 tons from the target due to heavy rainfall in June affecting logistics and some shipments being delayed to July.

Overall, the total delivery in June was also down from May's 876,000 tons, reflecting a weaker market due to tariff policies and unfavorable weather.
