According to the announcement from the TMP Steel Corporation, one of the rebar suppliers in Taiwan, its total turnover in the first quarter was around NT$749 million, increased by 5% year on year, which was also the historical new high in Q1.

Based on that, its net income after taxes in Q1 was around NT$16 million, and the net profit for each share would be NT$0.54.

The main reason why TMP’s sales performance not influenced that much from the COVID-19 epidemic was caused by the strong market demand and the current order visibility was around 3 months, which might stimulate TMP’s profit to further increase in the next few quarters.
