Tang Eng, one of the major stainless steel producers in Taiwan announced to cut its domestic prices for stainless hot rolled and cold rolled flat products by NT$2,000~NT$3,000/ton for February due to lower nickel prices.

After the price cut, its list prices for 304 grade hot rolled coils with thickness of 2mm are at NT$77,500~NT$78,500/ton; those for cold rolled coils with 2B finish and thickness of 2mm are at NT$84,000~NT$85,000/ton.

Meanwhile, its main competitor Yieh United Steel Corp. (Yusco) will unlikely be releasing its February prices because of recent fluctuations in the market.
