Recently the electric furnace factory in Taiwan had rushed to purchase high-quality scrap, also the foundry industry had not continuously stopped requiring scrap. Although scrap in the foundry industry was not used as much as in electric furnace factory, however, its material usage for scrap in foundry industry were all made of high-quality scrap.

Some traders had received scrap inquiries, being requesting for more quotations and supplies. For scrap with the higher and better grade, the casting industry normally had a higher price acceptance. A certain number of traders specialized in supplying the foundry materials commonly, especially located in the central part of the foundry industry.

According to the statistics of Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry this year, the machinery industry increased its export value by 12% in the first eight months of this year. This showed that the number of orders for machinery and machine tools had gradually moved up this year, and the recent China-US trade war had triggered the order transfer effect.

Importantly, in the first quarter of next year, the machinery industry will be taking higher order amounts to promote the development of the foundry industry, and it could be said that supply would be shorter than supply.
