Taiwanese China Steel Corp. (CSC) has announced to cut shipbuilding steel plate prices by NT$1,000/ton for next January/February and to give another NT$500/ton as extra discount for their orders in this Q4 shipment.

Accordingly, it will help China Shipbuilding Corporation (CSBC) save the costs of raw materials.

According to market analyst, CSBC will need 50,000 tons of shipbuilding usage steel plate for production in each quarter; therefore, CSBC may save more than NT$70 million in this Q4 and next Q1 after CSC’s new price cut.
