It’s reported that the transacted prices of steel plates have stabilized in Taiwanese market currently.

In fact, the transacted prices of steel plates had ever decreased to NT$20,500~NT$20,800/ton in Taiwanese market in Mid-February after a distributor cut the prices to NT$20,500/ton to gain the cheap imports.

However, as the low-priced imports have been decreasing in Taiwanese market and the raw material prices have been seen to rise in near future, distributors are unwilling to cut prices to gain order recently.

Affected by these factors, industry sources expected that the steel plate prices may have chances to stand at NT$21,000/ton in Taiwanese market in March.
