South Korea's Dongkuk Steel stated it would conduct green steel and expand its business by splitting it into one holding company and two steel companies.

Dongkuk Holdings will focus on creating new businesses and restructuring existing businesses. Dongkuk Steel Mill will take control of hot-rolled steel manufacturing and lead the transformation of steelmaking technology under the Green Steel Plan.

Dongkuk CM will be engaged in cold-rolled steel production and global expansion, looking to enter Vietnam and expand in countries such as Australia, Poland, and the US.
