South Korea imported 3.44 million tons of iron ore in July, among them, Australia occupied some 2.42 million tons, Brazil provided some 824,500 tons, South Africa occupied around 200,000 tons. South Korea imported 26.27 million tons of iron ore from January to July, a 4.5 percent increase year-on-year.

Total import of iron ore in July worth US$215.54 million; the figure for January to July is US$1550.85 million, a 16.3 percent up year-on-year.

The average import price in July was US$62.66/ton, a 12.2 percent increase year-on-year. The average import price for January to July was US$59.03/ton, a 11.3 percent up year-on-year.
