Myanmar's Construction Ministry has invited participation from local and international for project of Yangon expressway phase 1 (27KM) through public-private partnership (PPP) concession agreement. The project included design, engineer, finance, construction, operation and maintain sections, also connected downtown Yangon, Yangon Seaport, Yangon International Airport, Mingaladon Industrial Park and the Yangon-Mandalay. The closing date was 2pm October 30th, 2018 Myanmar time.

The ministry has ever invited the expression of interest (EOI) for whole expressway project (47.5KM). Besides Myanmar local companies, the other enrolled companies were from China, Japan, South Korea, India, Thailand, Turkey, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam and France.
