Stalexport, having process general steels capacity up to 100, 000 ton/year, posted its distribution operations for sale. Currently, there are over forty interested parties by Oct 17. Mittal Steel Poland, with around 70 percent of polish steel production, is one of the interested bidders. Zlomrex , Stalprofil & Drozapol-Profil, are also interested in Stalexport. Polish steel stockholding association (PUDS), director Andrzej Ciepiela said he believes there would be more parties interested in Stalexport if it was divided. For so many interested bidder, Stalexport’s steel business is quite a pie that so many parties want to take a bite.
