Malaysian government to launch anti-dumping investigation on cold rolled stainless steel against Korea, China, Taiwan and Thailand. The production customs codes involved are 219.31000-35000, 7220.20.130, 7220.20 190 and 7220.20.900, the products are involved with thickness of 6.5mm, and width of 1600mm.

The investigation was proposed by Malaysian stainless steel manufacturer Bahru Stainless Sdn Bhd and pointed out that the cold-rolled stainless steel imports from China and South Korea, China, Taiwan and Thailand are involved the suspect of anti-dumping, and caused damage to local manufacturer.

Bahru Stainless claims that the low price of imports of cold-rolled stainless steel has increased, which led to the revenue reduced further.
