China’s current steel export prices for CR, HR and CGI are interestingly falling in almost same level.

After the implementation of 5 percent tax raise, China‘s HR price has even reached C&F US$700/ton to South East Asia; and for CR products, even there is 5 percent tax rebate, the price is around C&F US$710 to US$720/ton.

The situation for almost same prices of HR and CR bring Taiwanese mills much pressure on import prices.

China’s export tax rebate gave advantages by saving US$35/ton for mills’ production cost which leads an unfair price competition in the international markets such as in Taiwan, South Korea and South East Asia.
