The governor of Nuevo León inaugurated a new manufacturing plant invested by Japan’s Kawasaki Motors in Salinas Victoria, Nuevo León, Mexico.

The plant, with a total investment of US$200 million, will produce all-terrain vehicles and personal watercraft, with an annual production capacity of up to 30,000 off-road four-wheelers.

The plant was put into operation in April. Around 1,500 jobs were expected to be created by 2026.

Kawasaki has previously said the plant was to meet the growing demand and to aim at boosting its off-road vehicle production capabilities.
