Japan's traders are asking domestic manufacturers to raise silicon-manganese and ferro-silicon prices by ￥95,000 to ￥100,000 per ton and ￥20,000 to ￥25,000 per ton respectively for third quarter.

If they could manage to do that, the new prices of silicon-manganese will be around ￥200,000 per ton, and that of ferro-silicon will be between ￥125,000 to ￥130,000 per ton.

At present, the offer of ferro-silicon from China to Japan is about US$1000 per ton CIF.
