According to statistics from Indian Ports Association (IPA), in the period from the second quarter to the third quarter of this year, the imports of coking coal at all major ports in India amounted to 24.4 million tons, growing by 16.34% compared to the same period a year ago.

In September alone, the imposts of coking coal were around 3.2 million tons, sliding by 26.1% month on month.

Besides, in the April-September period, the shipment of iron ore including pellets at all major ports in India totaled around 27.4 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 17%.
