PT Aneka Tambang, a state-owned mining company in Indonesia, planned to start construction of an alumina refinery in Mempawah, West Kalimantan this year. It was expected to have a capacity of 1 million tons in the first phase.

Antam owned a 40% stake in the project of West Kalimantan, and another 60% was controlled by the national mining holding company PT Inalum.

It was said that Antam and Inalum were ready for this project currently, but they still welcomed partners to join them for cooperation.
