Indonesian President Joko Widodo said that Indonesia would appeal a trade dispute judgment that favored the EU thought by him. The EU filed a lawsuit against Indonesia over its 2020 export ban on nickel ore.

President Joko Widodo that the World Trade Organization's (WTO) ruling would not prevent more raw material processing in Indonesia and he also directed the government to appeal.

Not only raw materials, but the president also called on Indonesians to stop exporting other unprocessed minerals, such as bauxite.
