According to Indonesian mining officials said on Wednesday, Indonesia hopes to complete the construction of four new smelters within this year, the mining industry are facing financial problems and make the Indonesian government revenue reduced due to that commodity prices continued to slump.

Since the early 2014, Indonesia has banned the export of unprocessed minerals, and encourages mining companies to build smelting plants in Indonesia.

As commodity prices fell, dozens of smelter projects have been delayed, most of them are nickel smelters. There are only 5 smelter construction projects completed in last year.
