ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel (AM/NS) India launched Magnelis®, a highly corrosion-resistant steel, now being produced domestically. This move is expected to boost India's infrastructure and renewable energy sectors by reducing reliance on imported steel.

Dilip Oommen, CEO of AM/NS India, highlighted that the production of Magnelis® in India supports the nation's vision of "Atmanirbhar Bharat" by offering locally made, high-performance steel. This steel will play a key role in building infrastructure and supporting India's transition to clean energy.

Rajan Dhar, Vice-President of Sales and Marketing, emphasized that this development will shorten delivery times and cut costs for domestic customers. The company has invested ₹1,000 crores in its Gujarat facility to produce 5 lakh tons annually, with key partnerships already in place with companies like Adani Green Energy and Reliance Industries.
