Reportedly, Indian zinc prices rose by 0.34% to INR 103.20/kg at the Multi Commodity Exchange for June delivery on good domestic demand among a firming trend in the entire base metals pack at the London Metal Exchange (LME).

The metal for July delivery also increased by 0.29% to INR 103.80/kg. At the LME, zinc prices increased by 0.44% to US$1,813/ton.

Analysts said that a firming trend in base metals such as copper at the LME, together with rising demand in spot markets helped push up zinc futures prices.
