With India's rapid economic growth, steel demand has increased significantly, becoming the core of infrastructure and industry. It is expected that India's steel demand will reach its peak by 2030.

Since fiscal 2021, Indian steel demand has grown at an annual growth of 14-15%, mainly driven by the government's Rs 1.1 trillion infrastructure plan, including transportation, housing, and energy sectors.

It is expected that in fiscal year 2025, GDP will grow steadily by more than 6.8%, providing support for steel consumption.

The production volume in fiscal year 2024 reached 144 million tons, an increase of 28% from fiscal year 2019. In addition, it is estimated that production capacity will reach 210 million tons in 2030, strengthening domestic self-sufficiency and local economic development.

In the future, steel demand will be mainly concentrated in construction and infrastructure, accounting for 60-63%, and the automobile manufacturing and engineering industries account for about 23%.
