Sesa Goa, India's largest producer and exporter of iron ore said that it has commissioned its third blast furnace of 450 m3 capacity to start pig iron production on August 17th, 2012.

The Indian mining company’s pig iron output is expected to rise to 650,000 tons per year from the current 250,000 tons per year.

Also, Sesa Goa has finished its expansion plan for metallurgical coke capacity to 560,000 tons per year from 280,000 tons per year.

Besides, the company planned to commission the associated sinter plant with an annual capacity of 800,000 tons in the current quarter.
