It was reported that Hydro Aluminium, a global leading aluminum company, invested in the world's first high-end extruded round ingot casting and recycling aluminum plant in St. Peter, Germany.

The plant was specialized in aluminum scrap recycling and used waste aluminum smelting casting after processing into extrusion round of 6060 alloy ingot, the waste material aluminum content as high as 75%, recovery after extrusion production of material properties and prepared with 100% remelting raw aluminum ingot, a significant effect of energy conservation and emissions reduction with considerable social and economic benefits.
