A European trader said that EU steel import is hardly heard at this moment because most buyers would rather purchase materials locally with small quantities and shorter lead time.

The 10~50mm heavy plate import now is quoted at US$660~674/ton cfr to European port. The price remains the same as that last week.

Besides, China’s steel import is not competitive in European market notonly because its price is very high but also the exchange rate is not favorable.
