Harris Steel Group Inc will acquire Tru-Weld Grating Ltd and its Alberta based subsidiary Wetaskiwin for $21 million. With this acquisition, the Toronto based Harris Steel is looking to firmly establish their presence in the industrial grating market in North America. The newly acquired operations will be integrated with the company’s industrial grating and expanded metal operations, Fisher & Ludlow. Tru-weld, a privately owned company has 20 years experience in steel bar grating industry. Fisher & Ludlow operates a manufacturing facility and seven distribution centers in North America. (Mar. 16)
