According to statistics released by the German industry association WV Stahl, the country’s steel mills produced 3.71 million tons of crude steel in May, decreasing by 5.4% year on year.

In the first five months, output of crude steel products totaled 18.38 million tons, decreasing by 2% compared to the same period a year ago.

During January to April, the country’s output of steel products totaled 12.86 million tons, up by 3.4% year on year.
