It is reported that the sales forecasts and growth expectations by Germany's aluminum packaging manufacturers in 2011 stay encouraging with high demand and stable source of orders received during the first quarter of 2011.

The production of aluminum has almost reached the same level before the financial crisis.

Also, the aluminum packaging output reached a record high of 13.6% in growth in 2010 with 405 thousand tons of aluminum foil, tubes, flexible packaging and aerosol and beverage cans, higher than 356.6 thousand tons in 2009.

Hence, the aluminum packaging industry is expecting solid growth and demand in 2011 which is said to be the same estimates as the general economic forecasts.

However, the rising costs for raw materials such as plastics, higher operating and energy costs are eroding profit margins.
