It was reported that Hans Juergen Kerkhoff, the president of German Steel Federation, told that because of the US steel tariff, several suppliers decided to sell their products to EU, which caused chaos in European steel market.

Hans pointed out that in the first 3 months of 2018, the importation from Russia increased by 139% compared with the same period of last year, while the importation from Turkey increased by 76% as well. The responsible urged the EU to take measures immediately so that the foreign products would not disturb the European market.
