Finland Ministry of Economy said that Talvivaara nickel mining continued to suffer the long-term losses, the company planned to close the Talvivaara nickel mining in the North. It will make a final decision later in 2016.

Finland government has invested nearly €250 million, following the allocation of another €100 million recently, supported the operation till end of 2016.

Due to falling nickel prices, Talvivaara nickel ore in 2014, filed for bankruptcy protection, but still finding the right buyer to takeover.
